Beading is one of the ways I connect art, storytelling, culture, and community.
My workshops introduce participants to the basics of flat Indigenous beadwork while also giving context to the history and meaning behind the practice. I talk about materials, techniques, and traditions, but the most important part is making something together.
The workshops are designed to be welcoming to beginners. Participants learn fundamental techniques and then have space to experiment, make choices, and create something of their own. I also use these workshops as an opportunity to talk about contemporary Native art and the importance of understanding Indigenous art as something living and evolving, not something that only exists in the past.

I am available for beading workshops with museums, libraries, schools, colleges, arts organizations, and community groups. Workshops can combine hands-on making with conversations about Indigenous art, design, history, and contemporary Native life.
